Bus Crashes in Bronx (NY), Kills 13 Mar 12, 2011 Bronx, NY-

FDNY responded to a tour bus accident on the New England Thruway at the Hutchinson River Parkway at about 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning according to reports from ABC News.

The latest reports for authorities indicate that 13 people have been killed and an unconfirmed number have been injured. A tractor trailer collided with the Worldwide Tour bus from behind while both were heading southbound causing the bus to overturn and flip on its side, according to the driver who survived the crash.

The tour bus then hit a post supporting a large highway sign which sliced through the length of the bus at passenger seat level.
